A poster I made today at work . It’s going to be altered, and I agree with the edits, but I also quite like it just as it is.
how i proposed them:

skia was immediately rejected and replaced with meta as a suggestion. then i paired the fonts with the title to see how they would fit

This Earnest Life is a brand new lifestyle consulting and editorial endeavor by Areti Sakellaris. I got to do the branding. Areti is a fan of Lee, so we worked together to create an equally awesome and stylin’ lady character, who we named Nora.

Nora fell in love with a gentleman who we named Isaac.

Isaac and Nora:

We’ve been working on this for months and the project has really evolved.

in the beginning, Nora was a lot younger and Isaac much dorkier.

as you can see, it took me a long time to give up the tights look, but i did. i started doing solid dresses but then changed to doing dresses with a photo fill.

this was a good way of doing quiet drawings that are still very vibrant.
Bruno has also gone through a lot of looks.

It’s been a really fun collaboration for me. Be sure to check out www.thisearnestlife.com

earlier today my roommate emily sent me a link to a website with llama type that turned out to be the work of avery oldfield. i had a similar feeling to when i watch 30 rock where i feel like - i’m not even going to bother to laugh because i’d have to laugh so hard and for so long to do this unbelievable joke justice - her stuff is so cool, clever, funny, smart, on and on. shall i say she is the 30 rock of art direction?
her website is here. and now, in case you don’t visit her site, i’m going to show you some images from her costco campaign about what if the mayans are right and the world is ending in 2012 (stock up at costco).

a postcard i just did for the community cycling center
