Christmas Hike in Sedona, or, My Sister is Insanely Stylish

today’s my dad’s 56th birthday. he gets the 6, then in october my mom is 56, and then in december i’m 26. then we rock 6s until next june when apple releases the 7 and we all start upgrading

me & my dad at busch gardens in virginia. we didn’t realize how wet the ride was.

the pink puffball is kelly, i’m the scowly one with the bows

i was probably a newborn in this picture. i was such a fat baby

my dad likes fun. it’s weird how parents age. it’s not cool. my dad’s hair is almost all gray now, and much thinner. he could still outrun me, he insists. still smarter still wiser.. still got love for the streets

family vacation circa 2007
sometimes i imagine where else i could live. i’m not sure i could happily live anywhere else. portland has spoiled me to a certain way, but the drippy live oaks of a sleepy south makes me feel something totally different. until a snake slithers up and i have to kill it with the pistol i keep tucked into my pettycoat. and then i faint. so yeah, i guess i’m staying in oregon.
